Mobile networks for Tanzania

The Kiezhelden of FC St. Pauli support beach volleyball in East Africa. Four mobile beach volleyball facilities are transported from the neighbourhood to the East African metropolis of Dar es Salaam. From 1 to 3 July, the tenth anniversary of the town partnership will be celebrated in the twin city of the northern German metropolis. For the first time in the official festival program: Beach volleyball tournaments for men and women. The non-profit Hamburg association "Sand für Alle" organizes these with its local partner Faru Sports Foundation and thus contributes to sporting diversity and equal rights for men and women.

The mobile facilities of the Kiezhelden are used for a large, intercontinental tournament when a group of Hamburg young people is on site. The mobile facilities will then be handed over to selected clubs in various regions of Tanzania in order to create infrastructure for regular training and competition offers. In cooperation with the Tanzanian Volleyball Federation, the Olympic sport is to be permanently promoted in order to inspire as many children and young people as possible.

The support of the Kiezhelden enables a lasting improvement for beach volleyball in Tanzania. Together with the committed partner organisations, the impulse should be as sustainable as possible. The participation of beach volleyball in the official festival program of the town twinning is a high-profile event and shows both cities that there are other attractive sports in addition to football. Thank you very much for your trust!
